Green Cracked Olives with Lemon, Garlic and Oregano 200g

These Green/Blond Olives come from the Gaidouroelia variety and are a very traditional olive grown in and around Greece.

The mammoth olives are huge, averaging around 3cm in length and 2cm in thickness.
"Tsakistes" as cracked olives are known in Greek are cured using an old traditional recipe whereby the firm green flesh of the olive is cracked then marinated in oil mixed with oregano, garlic and lemon. The process imparts a fruity and refreshing taste, crunchy flesh and lemon scent.

These olives are a real treat because of their meaty texture, size and fresh flavours.
