When I first set out on the raw food diet back in 2004 there were only a few recipe books around and those that were popular at the time required a dehydrator and all kinds of fancy equipment and ingredients. My mission when I started creating The Raw Greek was to put together some of my favourite Greek Raw recipes in a way that catered for the novice and the seasoned raw foodist.
The book itself is a collection of unique recipes based on Greek cuisine. Using simple and easily accessible ingredients this collection of recipes ties together traditional Greek flavours with modern methods of preparing raw food to create delicious and nutritious dishes that look and taste like the cooked version.
Recipes include Taramasalata (‘fish’ less roe dip), Dolmadakia (stuffed vine leaves) Moussaka, Tzatziki, Keftedes (‘meat’less balls), Halva and more. Recipe chapters include Dips, Appetizers, Mains, Finger foods, Sweets and Drinks.
