Halva - Sweet Sesame

  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp honey/syrup or any sweetener of choice
  • 2 tbsp tahini
* For extra flavour add any combination or one of the following:
Grind the sesame seeds as finely as possible; a coffee grinder is best for this, if a grinder is not available a food processor can be used.  Place the ground sesame seeds in a bowl and add the tahini and sweetener, mix thoroughly by hand or with a spoon until there is an even consistency.  Add the flavour of your choice and lightly mix again.
Press into a mould or form into a loaf shape and chill
Once chilled cut into bite-size pieces and serve.

Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 weeks.
