- 1 red pepper
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup flaxseeds ground into a fine powder
- 1 cup almond pulp (left over from making almond milk)
- 1 cup carrot juice (about 3 large carrots)
Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until you are left with a thick smooth mixture.
On a teflex sheet take 2 tbsp of the mixture at a time and try to evenly spread it out into a circle shape. You should be left with a flat round circle about 1/2cm thick. The mixture should produce about 6 flat breads. Dehydrate at 125o
C for approximately 3-4 hours turning them over onto a mesh screen half way through.
Load your pitta with fresh vegetables of your choice and enjoy.
*You can substitute celery juice for carrot juice and fresh tomato for the red pepper.
