Red Pepper Pitta - Flat Bread
  • 1 red pepper 
  • 1 onion 
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 
  • ½ tsp sea salt 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup flaxseeds ground into a fine powder 
  • 1 cup almond pulp (left over from making almond milk)
  • 1 cup carrot juice (about 3 large carrots) 
Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until you are left with a thick smooth mixture.

On a teflex sheet take 2 tbsp of the mixture at a time and try to evenly spread it out into a circle shape.  You should be left with a flat round circle about 1/2cm thick.  The mixture should produce about 6 flat breads.  Dehydrate at 125oC for approximately 3-4 hours turning them over onto a mesh screen half way through.

Load your pitta with fresh vegetables of your choice and enjoy.

*You can substitute celery juice for carrot juice and fresh tomato for the red pepper.
