My morning Orange juice with Natures Living Superfoods powder is going well and I feel I am ready for my next addition.
I have been thinking about exercise but have little time to go to the gym so I have decided my time is too precious to wait around every day for the elevator to carry me to street level at the underground station. Last week I decided to take the 175 steps at Russell Square underground station instead. I felt like I was going to have an asthma attack the first day I tried it (and I don't even have asthma!) I got to my desk a beetroot red wheezing mess. Surprisingly, even to me, it didn't deter me, I have learnt to pace myself (slow and steady always wins the race ;-) and now, a week later, I have been managing the stairs every day without almost passing out. It is so satisfying to get to the top and know I'm helping myself step by step (sorry for the cliché, I couldn’t help that one).
If you don't have the steps at Russell Square to climb or something similar you might try some of the following small changes:
Walking to the tube/bus/train station in the morning instead of driving.
Getting off a stop or 2 before your stop and walking the rest of the way.
Taking a long walk at lunchtime
