Tooth Soap® Our Most Popular Product by Far

Tooth Soap® is our most popular product, and we are pleased to announce that we have never had a complaint from any of our customers or our family members who also now use it.

I am more than pleased with the results of switching from a fluoride free natural toothpaste to Tooth Soap® three years ago. Firstly I put a stop to my sensitive teeth within a week of switching. And apart from having a wisdom tooth removed I haven’t needed any dental work and the dentist always comments on how clean my teeth are.

My husband on the other hand, who smokes and drinks coffee (I might add) had terrible stained teeth. Since switching to Tooth Soap® the stains have lightened and once he also started using Tooth Brightener on a regular basis the stains vanished within weeks, that is no exaggeration!

What is Tooth Soap®?

In 1998 Karen, mum of two and founder of Tooth Soap®, realised that standard toothpaste is full of lots of nasties that people shouldn’t be putting into their mouths twice a day for the rest of their lives.
While searching for natural dental protocols Karen stumbled across some research from Dr. Gerard F. Judd who discovered that using soap to brush your teeth is the best thing you can do to keep your teeth clean and improve dental health.

“Soap is the only component of toothpaste that is not detrimental if the soap is pure and natural”
(K. “V” Van Cleef)

Karen tried brushing her teeth with pure soap and couldn’t bear the taste and so she went to work to create a product that is kid friendly, tooth friendly and a pleasure to use.
Introducing Tooth Soap®; an all round great solution for clean teeth with a pleasant taste.  Apart from being free from fluoride, glycerine, SLS, and all other nasty ingredients that standard toothpastes contain, Tooth Soap® cleans teeth and gums perfectly, removing oils and other contaminants from the teeth and allows teeth to re-mineralize naturally from nutrients in the diet.

Why standard toothpaste is bad for your teeth and health

“I found the natural tooth pastes had glycerine as one of the main ingredients and glycerine coats the teeth and prevents re-enamelization. If you check all your dental products, you will find glycerine in a main ingredient in them. You will also find that most tooth pastes and gels contain SLS (sodium laurel sulphate) which has been shown in studies to cause canker sores. You must stop using all tooth pastes with glycerine and/or fluoride and other contaminating ingredients.”
(K. “V” Van Cleef)

Fluoride
Our first clue that fluoride is highly toxic is the warning sign on a tube of Toothpaste. It is put there to prevent children consuming enough to make them sick or cause death. Fluoride is a pollutant by-product of the aluminium industry and is extremely poisonous judging by the fact that it has been used as a rat poison for 40 years.

“Fluoride destroys 83 enzymes in the body”
(K. “V” Van Cleef)

In addition studies have shown that fluoride enhances the absorption of aluminium in the brain; the metal that is said to cause Alzheimer's.
I’ve never heard of anyone having a fluoride deficiency, nor is it on the list of nutrients our body needs to function.
So why would anyone put this product into toothpaste which millions of people use to brush their teeth with every morning and night?
Rumour has it that in the 1930’s a study funded by one of the largest aluminium companies in the USA concluded that fluoride prevented tooth decay. Conveniently the study put an end to the problem of legally disposing of fluoride and made dentistry a lucrative business.

Glycerine
Glycerine is found in all standard toothpastes as well as healthy no fluoride brands. It may not be as toxic as fluoride but it doesn’t do our teeth any good either.

“glycerine coats the teeth and prevents re-mineralisation.”
(Dr. Gerard F. Judd, Ph.D., Chemistry and Fluoride Researcher)

If our teeth are constantly coated in glycerine they cannot get mineral support from calcium and phosphate in the diet and then cannot rebuild enamel.

“Why do most people have cavities by the age of 20 even though they brush their teeth twice a day? Sure, proper diet is important but it’s just a part of a bigger problem.
Re-enamelization of the teeth occurs when they are clean. All toothpastes make a barrier of glycerine on the teeth which would require 20 rinses to get it off.”
(Dr. Gerard F. Judd, Ph.D., Chemistry and Fluoride Researcher)

“Once the teeth are cleaned with bar soap, they will re-enamelize from calcium and phosphate in the diet”
(K. “V” Van Cleef)

Sodium Laurel Sulphate (SLS)
The most common and probably the most harmful chemical contained in most personal care products is Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS). SLS is a synthetic detergent, if you check all your dental and personal cleaning products you will find that most of them include SLS in their ingredients list. This substance is used to help create a lather in just about anything used to clean your body, hair and teeth.
But did you know it is also used in garage floor cleaners, engine degreasers and auto cleaning products.
What most people don’t know is that SLS can cause a lot of health problems; it can enhance the absorption of other harmful chemicals, retard the healing properties of the body, cause mouth sores and dermatitis.
I don't know about you but I certainly wouldn't want something in my bathroom cabinet that is strong enough to clean my garage floor, or cause me or my family harm.

Tooth Soap® Products

Tooth Soap® Shreds is the product that started it all down at Tooth soap® head quarters. It was the first item in the Tooth Soap® range; we loved it then and we love it now.
Tooth Soap® Shreds come in a jar full of little strands of soap.
You place one shred on a back molar and bite down, brush your teeth with a wet toothbrush starting at the back where the Tooth Soap® Shred is. The friction between the toothbrush and the teeth creates a froth and makes the entire mouth soapy. Rinse your mouth 2-3 times and you’re done.

Liquid Tooth Soap®; a close cousin to the shreds lives by the same principles. And is an equally refreshing experience. You drop a few drops directly into the mouth, or I drop it onto my wet toothbrush, and brush with a wet toothbrush until your mouth is soapy. Rinse a couple of times and smile to yourself in the mirror to reveal clean, bright, white teeth.

What is the difference between Tooth Soap® Shreds and Liquid Tooth Soap®?

The differences between Tooth Soap® Shreds and Liquid Tooth Soap® are pretty obvious but we get asked a lot so here is my opinion.
Tooth Soap® Shreds have more of a likeness to soap in texture and in my opinion have a bit of a soapy taste, although not overpowering or unbearable. On the other hand Liquid Tooth Soap® has a pleasant minty or fruity flavour without a trace of soap in the taste.
Both products have the same price, £15.49, however a bottle of Liquid Tooth Soap® lasts 4-6 weeks compared to Tooth Soap® Shreds which lasts 2-3 months. They are both very easy to use and both do an excellent job of cleaning the teeth.

Tooth Brightener is a must if you want to keep your smile white. Even though Tooth Soap® does a great job of cleaning the teeth it is a natural product and therefore wont remove stubborn stains.

“Really clean teeth are just like a clean porcelain sink...certain foods can stain them. Because Tooth Soap® is non abrasive, I have recently created a Tooth Brightener that will keep teeth bright and remove simple food stains.”
(K. “V” Van Cleef)

In addition to Tooth Soap® Shreds or Liquid Tooth Soap® I use Tooth Brightener once a week, usually every Sunday when I have a little extra time in the morning, it removes stains and naturally polishes my teeth. Tooth brightener comes in a little bottle containing a white powder, wet your tooth brush sprinkle a small amount of powder onto the brush head and brush your teeth taking extra care not to brush the gums. Rinse the mouth out and smile confidently all day.

Tooth Swish is an amazing product to carry around with you in your bag. It is like a quick fix to cleaning your teeth when you are out and about or if you are travelling and you don’t have access to your tooth brush.
Tooth Swish neutralizes food acids, promotes salivation and remineralizes teeth. It contains 84 ionic/colloidal minerals and trace elements thus stimulating the gums, correcting pH and freshening the breath.
Use it after a meal to freshen your mouth or if you have an important business meeting and you want more than your personality to shine. I use Tooth Swish if I have had a meal with garlic or onions in and want to rid the taste and smell from my mouth.
All you have to do is tap a small amount into your mouth and swish it around with your saliva for a couple of minutes. No need to rinse just expel the swish and go about your business.

In a nutshell Tooth Soap® is pleasant tasting and leaves your mouth fresh and sparkly.
It is kind to the environment, your mouth and your health, it is kid approved, organic and free from impurities. Don’t just take my word for it, try it for yourself.
