Also known as Golden Berries and Cape Gooseberries
Incan Berries are grown on wild shrubs in South America. When dried these yellow berries which are related to the cherry tomato resemble a golden raisin and have a pleasant tangy flavour. Each berry is soft with a tart sour taste which will send your taste buds into a frenzy. Each fruit contains many tiny seeds and is full of nutrients. They make a satisfying quick snack
Incan berries are also nutrient dense and a remarkable source of protein and bioflavonoids, which possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antiviral properties. They are high in phosphorous and vitamins A, C, and B-Complex. The vitamin C content in one berry is equal to that of several oranges.
