The cup is inserted in the vagina where it is kept in place by a vacuum and the vaginal muscles. On average you will need to empty the cup 2-4 times per 24 hours. After emptying, rinse the cup carefully in soap and water or you can sterilise it in a cup of boiling water for 2-5 minutes. The lining of the Lunette™ menstrual cup is smooth, so that its cleaning is extremely easy. Because the tab of the Lunette™ menstrual cup is flat, it does not collect bacteria.

The Lunette™ menstrual model 1:
Is 2mm smaller then the
DivaCup™ model 1 and is recommended for women who have never had sexual intercourse, are aged below 20 or have a light flow. The diameter is 41 mm by 47 mm. The stem measures 25 mm. The volume of the cup is 25 ml.
*If you are a young woman who has not had intercourse and you wish to use the cup, take your time to insert it correctly, we recommend the smaller Lunette™ menstrual cup (model 1). You can also use water-soluble lubricants to help you insert the cup. The menstrual cup may break the hymen when used for the first time.
The Lunette™ menstrual model 2:
Is recommended for women who have a heavier flow are above 20 years of age or have had children*. The diameter is 46 mm by 52 mm. The stem measures 20 mm. The volume of the cup is 30 ml.
